Session Information

An opportunity to discuss LibGuide related topics with community college librarians.  Some sample topics may include best practices (consistent look for guides, template standards, color combinations, etc.), creative uses of LibGuides at other institutions (web sites, marketing, outreach, etc.), customizing LibGuides to the needs of your patrons (search boxes, drop down-menus, etc.) and integrating LibCal with LibGuides.

If you have additional topics you would like to discuss, please fill out the handout or bring it to the attention of one of the session presenters; so that the panel can address your question accordingly.

Come join in the discussion to share your LibGuide experiences, get advice from colleagues or gain new ideas to freshen up your own guides to better meet the needs of your students.

    Learning Objectives

    1) Know best practices other libraries are using in creating LibGuides at their institution.
    2) Learn how to use LibGuides beyond creating subject guides; how are other libraries creatively using LibGuides at their institutions to better serve their patrons.
    3) Be able to gain new ideas to apply to your own LibGuides to better meet the needs of users.
